Novelist and screen writer Richard Price earned his reputation as one of New York’s preeminent writers with several novels, including The Wanderers, Clockers (nominated for the National Book Critics Circle Award), Freedomland and his latest, Lush Life (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2008).  He has also written numerous screenplays, including The Color of Money, nominated for an Academy Award. He is a recipient of an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award in Literature and shared an Edgar Award for his writing on the HBO miniseries, The Wire. He lives in New York City.
